This Little Prince Cross Stitch Pattern consists of 146 x 156 stitches and 9 colors. Only full stitches are used. There are no specialty, fractional or back stitches used in this pattern.

As you can imagine this pattern was inspired by the book “The Little Prince”, original name “Le Petit Prince” written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. It was one of the first books I read when I learned reading.  First time I read the book story seemed like an adventure of a boy from a faraway planet. I really liked the book and its humor. Five or six years later when “I was not a kid anymore”:) I was separating “kid’s books” from the books that are for “adults”. I saw the little prince again. As it is a very short book I sat down and read it again. The book was the same, the story was the same, the characters were the same but somehow, for me, it was a story about a boy who was struggling in an adult world. Then I read it in the high school, I read it in college, I read it after graduation, I read it after getting married… And every time I read the book, I found something different in the story.

I don’t know maybe it is just me who attributes a lot of meaning into a short book or maybe the little prince is that special. I am a middle-aged man and a father of a toddler now. And I will read the book one more time and probably last time alone. After that, I am hoping to read the book with my daughter and hopefully, she will explain me her stories from the book.
